Main scientific interests:

Electronic structure of semiconductors - experimental investigations by electron and optical spectroscopies. In particular, modification of the electronic structure due to introduction of atoms with open d and f shells, in GaN, IV-VI and II-VI compounds (in view of possible applications of them as spintronic materials).

Application of synchrotron radiation in photoelectron spectroscopies (experience acquired in MAX Lab (Lund, Sweden), HASYLAB at DESY (Hamburg, Germany), LURE (Orsay, France), BESSY (Berlin, Germany).
